• Automotive Engineering – a joint program with Ilmenau University of Technology;
• Systems Engineering and Engineering Cybernetics - a joint program with Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
In the future, a list of foreign partner universities and the number of programs, including Bachelor and PhD disciplines, will grow. So, for example, is currently negotiating a cooperation with the Bonn University and the establishment of a joint Master’s program "Computer Science".
The Master programs which are carried out in institute are not only actual, but also are directed on the research and the solution of the global subjects connected, first of all, with the human and the questions, vital for his existence. These directions of science are advanced, so-called "titans" of science: energy, key technologies, transport, robotics and nanotechnologies. As a result of education in GRIAT Master students have a huge advantage, holding a strong base of the accumulated knowledge and skills behind the back that, naturally, guarantees them a stable position according to their specialization in a desirable professional field.
Developed with the help of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, in particular the program "Algarysh", the students follow the direction of "Double degree", it means that a student, who has successfully completed a master's degree in GRIAT, gets two diploma - one diploma of KNRTU-KAI from Russian side and one diploma of a partner university in Germany. Also, all GRIAT students are required to spend one semester at a German partner university, learning the language and standards of education and science in the Western-European country, as well as applying their knowledge and skills in the field of science, research and technology. GRIAT adopts the curricula of the German partner universities as far as the Russian law permits. Following this, the study in the walls of GRIAT and in Germany is conducted in English language by German professors and doctors of science, which is a huge advantage in the field of knowledge and an integral part of the high quality standards of education. The institute offers additional language training as needed. This brand new educational program gives the students of GRIAT opportunities to get higher education abroad and to bring the science of Tatarstan new ideas, new skills and new opportunities.
